Last to marry.

5 months   0   524   Blog

I finally decided to see this movie that’s been on my wall on YouTube since the day it was released, not that I subscribed to the Channel or anything. After seeing the movie I felt it in my spirit the lord wanted me to see the movie. Watching this movie I smile at familiar scenes especially from Amata character or is it TJ character?

Last to marry, an interesting watch I must confess.
Started with a 34 years old single lady (Abidemi), that has served God faithfully and kept her self for 34 years, she is doing well in her career and has her life put together but yet she didn’t feel fulfilled because she’s not married and apparently everyone her age is married. She has her spec of a guy, rich, tall, cute, Christian, tongue speaking brother etc yet none was approaching her. The one she set her eyes on chose another lady to marry, worst of it, her mother is putting pressure on her to get married.

Along the line Abidemi supposedly met her spec of a man but he had a terrible character, Amata would use every opportunity he gets to rubbish her but ends it with the lord said you are my wife. That word alone makes her feel good and allow things slide. She couldn’t even confide in her married friends. Why will she complain about the guy that looked her way and says God told him she is his wife but Abidemi was troubled in her heart. Even one of her friend asked her if she has spoken to God about Amata for her self and she said Amata said God told him she is his wife and that is okay for her.

Amidst all these Abidemi met TJ her senior from secondary school. TJ is married but TJ has the character she wished Amata could have and to top it all TJ says his wife is okay with him marrying another wife BUT TJ is not born again, TJ doesn’t even do the Jesus thing and doesn’t even believe in God but he has a good character and wants to marry Abidemi as second wife, apparently she has been his teenage love.. I mean love of over 20 years.

When Abidemi looks at her tongue speaking fiancé he doesn’t have the character she wants then she looks at TJ he doesn’t share her Faith but has the character she wants in a partner. She almost considered both of them on two different occasions but after her visit to her counselor that made her remember her purpose in life, she decided to let them go and face other things she considered priority that was kept on hold all because she felt she needed to be married to execute them.

Like Abidemi, there are many of us out there with Amatas and TJs around the corners, we are trying to over look what we consider very important to our lives and settle for crumbs. Amata doesn’t have to be tongue speaking but we know that demi god that feels he is doing you a favour for coming close, he is ticking all bad for you or is it the TJs that we feel in our heart he is not it. He is good yes, has 95% of what we want but he is not just the one and TJs are not always in the circular world, they are in our churches too.

I will speak from my point of view, we all know that deal breaker, that thing we cannot compromise our faith, personality, beliefs for, obey that instinct, that Holy Spirit that’s telling you not to and you should wait a little while. Distract your self, be more for you, do things you wish and desire to do. Just do it and everything will fall into place for you.

Like I said, I feel this movie was meant for me. My story might not be Abidemi’s story but when it comes to Amata and TJ I overly understand. I would recommend you see the movie. It’s very educating.
