Opening Netflix app few days ago I had no idea of any movie or series to see then I checked top 10 and this movie caught my eyes. I have been enjoying Yoruba movies of late so it was no big deal to see this one too. No prior warning from anyone, I didn't even see the trailer before deciding on seeing it.

The movie started and I began to get this creepy feeling before minutes into the movie I got this horror movie vibe.

Why I love this movie it is because it is a never before acted kind of story. Because if we are asked we would say either this particular kind of people fall victim or the other kind.

It started with her picture showing that she is the next victim as renewal in the coming 25 years. Busola was a young lady that desire the fine things of life like any young lady her age would couple with the fact that she has a malfunctioning boyfriend that wouldn't stop cheating and lying to her. She also has a prayerful mother that really looked out for her. When Tunji came along who would have thought he would go through all that just to use her. He did the eye and mind catching thing to get her attention couple with a supposed harmless gift that actually gave way to everything that happened to her. If only she had obeyed her mother and returned the gift, if only she had been more prayerful after her mother told her she senses there is an extra personality in the house with them. Busola one the other hand was a naive girl that is not observant, too trust worthy, refused to mix or interact with her colleagues and does not make use of her instinct. She felt Tunji was answer to her prayers and hence the carefree act. Baba Busola too didn't help matter who would have thought 25 years later the bride to be used was going to be his own daughter ops, baba Busola didn't even care hence his joy when she met Tunji because he was going to recover and have more money. He even killed mama Busola hence the mother's prayer stopped covering her.
Busola even traveled with Tunji to his said yearly reunion with his brothers, she wasn't even observant of the brothers girlfriend act or even the surrounding all she knew was she was in love and is never going to stress over anything. Thank God for her mother's blessed anointing oil given to her else she would have died and be used for the renewal. Funny how in all of it the fijabi was actually the one using that family to renew her existence.

Thinking out of the movie what is the relationship with said church girls and everything bad for their soul (boyfriend). Why do they get attracted to everything wrong for them. What happens to church brother or at least someone that shares same faith with you. It makes me think if they where not church girl they would jump to being child of the world. Even a said circular girl wouldn't even have that kind of desire of a partner most of them desire. I know why I said this but I would end here.

Back to the movie, I really got into the movie that I decided to talk about it and to my knowledge I made about 5 people see it that gave me feed back. I even took it personal because I begin to wonder how how many times my mother's prayer has saved me or how many time that little mutter of prayer has saved me without me being aware or even understanding. If only she had being an obedient child she would have avoided what happened but then again the devil uses what you most desire to come after you and if he senses you are weak towards it he attacks.

I will not stop recommending the movie to be seen. It's a must see. It's a reminder there is still evil in this world so we need to be watchful and prayerful because we need the spirit of discernment that works along side the holy spirit.
