People often ask why I haven’t fully documented my weight loss journey or created a vlog about it. The truth is, it has always felt easier to share other parts of my life than this one. I sometimes feel that people are more interested in reading about the results than actually trying the process for themselves. Others seem to be searching for a “loophole” wondering if I used any drugs or supplements to achieve my results, because to them, it all sounds too unbelievable to be true.
But my journey is exactly that: mine, real and unfiltered.
It all started one day when I woke up and decided it was time to make a change. At the time, I weighed 120kg, and my initial goal was simple: lose at least 10kg. I had just begun my postgraduate diploma and started a new job, so life was about to get busier. I thought, why not take this on now? In a way, I treated myself like an experiment—a personal challenge to see what I could achieve with consistency and discipline. Thankfully, I wasn’t alone. I had emotional support from a friend who was also on her own weight loss journey.
The beginning wasn’t easy. Far from it. I remember struggling to do just 50 jumps. It felt like a huge task at the time. But I kept pushing. Today, I can do up to 5,000 jumps without fear and I’ve done it multiple times. That transformation didn’t happen overnight; it came from showing up, again and again.
I started small, with just 10 minutes of workout videos on YouTube because that was all my body could handle at the time. As weeks passed, I gradually introduced walking into my routine. Distances that once felt impossible became manageable. I began walking for 30–45 minutes after work, five days a week, in addition to my morning exercises.
Another part of my routine was eating once a day. It worked for me because my body adjusted to it, and even now—three years later—I still follow this pattern most of the time.
Looking back now, the results go far beyond weight loss. Three years later, I am stronger, healthier, more confident, and more self-aware than I have ever been. And beyond all that, I feel truly beautiful—inside and out.
This journey taught me that change doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be consistent. If you’re waiting for a sign to start, this might be it. Remember, I first lost 40kg before I started building muscles to sustain the weight lost and I added 5kg back in my muscle.
